We use analytics to see which pages are read. That is all: no advertising, no profiling, and nothing sold or shared. How we use cookies
Last updated: June 01, 2026
This privacy notice for SEW INC. ("we", "us", or "our"), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services ("Services"), such as when you:
Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at dpo@se.works.
This summary provides key points from our privacy notice, but you can find out more details about any of these topics by clicking the link following each key point or by using our table of contents below to find the section you are looking for.

Do we process any sensitive personal information? We do not process sensitive personal information.
Do we receive any information from third parties? We do not receive any information from third parties.
How do we process your information? We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
In what situations and with which parties do we share personal information? We may share information in specific situations and with specific third parties.
How do we keep your information safe? We have organizational and technical processes and procedures in place to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
What are your rights? Depending on where you are located geographically, the applicable privacy law may mean you have certain rights regarding your personal information.
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you fill in one of our forms — a general enquiry, an application to the partner programme, or a partner deal registration — or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies. What is set, who sets it, and how to refuse it is set out in "DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?" below.
The information we collect includes:
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
In Short: We only process your personal information when we have a lawful reason to — to answer you, to keep the site working and free of abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the Swiss FADP require us to name the lawful bases we rely on. These are ours:
We process your information on the basis of your express consent, or of your implied consent where the law allows us to infer it — when you fill in a form to ask us a question, it is reasonable to infer that you would like an answer. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to dpo@se.works. In a few specific situations the law permits processing without consent, such as where an investigation or the detection and prevention of fraud makes obtaining consent impracticable, or where the information is publicly available and specified by the regulations.
In Short: We are not responsible for what other websites do with your information, including the ones we link to.
The Services link out to websites we do not run — partners, coverage of our work, the privacy notices of the providers named above, and other things worth reading. A link is not an endorsement, and this privacy notice stops at the edge of our site. We cannot guarantee the safety of anything you give to a third party, we are not responsible for their content or their practices, and we do not audit what they collect.
If you follow a link away from se.works, read the privacy notice of the site you land on before you give it anything. Any question about what happens to that information belongs to them, not to us.
In Short: Yes. We are a United States company and so is every provider we use, so your information is processed in the United States.
SEW INC. is incorporated and operates in the United States, and each provider named in "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?" above is a United States company. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland and you write to us or use this site, the information involved is transferred to the United States and processed there.
The United States has no single general data protection law equivalent to the GDPR, and its rules on government access to data are not the ones you are used to. You should know that before you send us anything, rather than after.
Each of our providers publishes its own data processing terms covering transfers out of the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. If you want to know which transfer mechanism applies to a particular provider, or to a particular message you sent us, write to dpo@se.works and we will tell you what is in place.
In Short: The site keeps nothing. We keep your enquiry as an email for as long as we need it to answer you and for our business records, and no longer.
On the site itself, nothing is kept. There is no database behind se.works and no file store holding submissions. The only thing the site holds at all is a count of how many times a given IP address has posted a form in the last minute, held in memory to stop a flood of automated submissions. It is never written to disk and it is gone within the minute.
In our inbox, as long as the enquiry is live and our records need it. What persists is the email your submission became. We keep it while we are answering you and while we are working with you, and afterwards as an ordinary business record of who contacted us and why — the way any company keeps its correspondence — and for as long as we may need it to meet a tax, accounting, or legal obligation, or to defend a legal claim. When none of that applies any more, we delete it.
We do not publish a fixed number of months here, because we would rather tell you how we actually work than set a schedule we do not keep. If you want the email you sent us deleted, write to dpo@se.works and say so. We will delete it unless we are legally required to keep it, and if we are, we will tell you which requirement and for how long.
Analytics data is held by Google and by Vercel under their own retention settings, not by us. We keep no copy of it, and it is not connected to the emails you send us.
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at dpo@se.works.
In Short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it.
In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) if applicable, to data portability; and (v) not to be subject to automated decision-making. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below.
We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below.
You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — to answer the enquiry you sent us, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
There are no accounts on this site, so there is no profile for you to log in to and edit. What we hold is the email your form submission became, and you can ask us to show it to you, correct it, or delete it by writing to dpo@se.works.
We will delete it unless we are legally required to keep it — to prevent fraud, to assist with an investigation, to enforce our legal terms, or to comply with an obligation we are under — and if we are, we will tell you which requirement and for how long.
Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. Nothing on this site breaks if you do. There is no interest-based advertising here to opt out of. For what is set and what to do about it, see "DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?" above.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at dpo@se.works.
In Short: This site does not respond to Do-Not-Track signals.
Most web browsers, and some mobile operating systems and applications, include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can switch on to signal that you would rather your online activity were not monitored. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and honoring DNT signals has been finalized, and the browsers that send one do not agree on what it means.
So, plainly: we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals, and we do not respond to any other automated signal of that kind, including Global Privacy Control (GPC). Switching either on will not change what the analytics described in "DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?" above measure. To stop that measurement, use the browser controls listed in that section, which do work.
We do not sell or share personal information, so there is no sale for a GPC signal to opt you out of. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we have to follow, we will follow it and say so here.
In Short: If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may ask what we hold about you, get a copy of it, have it corrected, or have it deleted.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia each have a comprehensive consumer privacy law in force. They differ in their details, but the rights set out below are the ones we will honor for any United States resident who asks, whichever state you live in.
In the last twelve months we have collected the following categories, all of them from you directly or from your use of the site:
We collect all of this for the purposes set out in "HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?" above, and we disclose it only to the service providers named in "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?", each of which receives it only in order to do the job described there.
We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, as those terms are defined in these laws. We do not process it for targeted advertising, and we do not profile anyone in a way that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We run no financial incentive programs. We disclose personal information to nobody for their own direct marketing purposes, which is also our answer to a California "Shine the Light" request.
Write to dpo@se.works. Tell us what you want us to do, and enough for us to find what we hold — which form you used and roughly when, and the email address you used at the time. If you would rather write by post, our legal address is the one printed in "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below; email reaches us faster.
How we verify you. Because we hold no accounts, we verify a request by corresponding with the email address the information was sent from, and by asking about details of the submission that only you would know. We ask for no more than that, and what you send us to verify yourself is used for nothing else. An authorized agent may make a request for you if they provide your signed permission, and we may still come back to you directly to confirm it.
How long we take. We will acknowledge your request and answer it within the time your state's law allows — generally 45 days, extendable once where the law permits, in which case we will tell you why. There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy with our answer, you may also complain to your state's attorney general.
In Short: If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Canada, you have rights under your own law — including the right to complain about us to your regulator.
SEW INC. is the controller of the personal information described in this notice, and you can reach us about any of it at dpo@se.works. Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the Swiss FADP you have the right:
We answer these requests within one month, and we will tell you if we need longer because a request is complex. We do not charge for them.
You can complain to a regulator. If you believe we have handled your information badly, you are entitled to take it up with your supervisory authority, and you do not have to come to us first — though we would rather you did, so that we can put it right. In the EEA, find your authority at https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en. In the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. In Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner is at https://www.edoeb.admin.ch.
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you and have it corrected, and you may withdraw your consent at any time, at dpo@se.works. If you are not satisfied with how we answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca.
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO), Min Hong, by email at dpo@se.works, or contact us by post at our legal address:
